“Glenn Martin DDS” Source:Variety
When? August 2009
Nickelodeonâs Nick at Nite has given a 20-episode order to “Glenn Martin DDS,” a stop-motion animated comedy series from former Walt Disney Co. CEO Michael Eisner.
Series reps the first to come out of Tornante Animation, a newly formed part of Eisnerâs investment firm, the Tornante Co. Eisner has partnered with “Celebrity Deathmatch” creator Eric Fogel to design “Glenn Martin,” which Nick at Nite plans to launch next summer.
“Glenn Martin” revolves around a dentist who persuades his family to embark on a cross-country road trip â in their toothbrush-topped “dental mobile.”
“Itâs not a Disney Channel show,” Eisner said. “This show is not a fit with âHannah Montana,â itâs not a tween show. I always thought that animation should be made for adults, and then you get the kids automatically.
According to IMDB, Judy is now attached to the project and her character will be Wendy, but no official word yet. So, we’ll have to wait for some confirmation, the project sounds very interesting though (=
Zarghami said Nick would “spend a lot of resources” in promoting “Glenn Martinâs” summer launch, and use it as a springboard to bow its offnet run of “Everybody Hates Chris,” which joins Nick at Niteâs sked in September 2009.
Horror vets Cassandra Peterson (aka Elvira) and Mary Woronov will join young ‘uns Thomas Dekker (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) and Noah Segan (Chain Letter) in the new indie horror film called All About Evil. Joshua Grannell is writing and directing for Backlash Films and producer Darren Stein (Jawbreaker).
According to SF360 Dekker will “play the high school student who’s obsessed with horror movies, frequents the theater, stumbles on the grisly crimes and, well, that’ll hold you for now. Cassandra Peterson will play his concerned mother.” Patrick Bristow, Peaches Christ and Mink Stole co-star. Peterson announced her commitment to the film over the summer at Comic-Con.
With Darren Stein producing, and according to an interview by San Francisco Bay Times, there’s a slight chance Judy might get involved with the project, but nothing official at all. Here’s a small part of the interview:
With your involvement, I hope you might pull from the Jawbreaker cast and get Rose McGowan involved.
We talked about Rose, but Peaches is more interested in Judy Greer. She was on Arrested Development. She played the best friend in My Best Friendâs Wedding, Thirteen Going on 30, The Wedding Planner. In Jawbreaker, she plays Fern, the dorky girl. I think for Joshua, what appealed about her, of all the girls, sheâs a true character actress. It would be great to get her involved with All About Evil.
Judy Greer Joins ‘Maneater’ Cast Source:Zap2it When? January 22, 2009
Lifetime’s miniseries “Maneater” has added four people to its cast, including the man that star Sarah Chalke has on the menu.
The meal in question is “Crusoe” star Philip Winchester. Judy Greer, Maria Conchita Alonso and Gregory Harrison have also signed on to the cast, according to The Hollywood Reporter.
Based on a novel by Gigi Levangie Grazer (”The Starter Wife”), “Maneater” chronicles the life of Clarissa Alpert (”Scrubs” star Chalke), an L.A. girl-about-town who decides she wants to be married and sets her sights on landing a wealthy department-store heir (Winchester) who’s trying his hand in the movie business.
Greer (”Miss Guided,” “27 Dresses”) will play Clarissa’s friend Gravy (yes, Gravy), who has relationship issues of her own. Alonso (”Kingpin,” “The Running Man”) and Harrison (”Reunion,” “Trapper John, M.D.”) will play Clarissa’s dysfunctional parents.
Suzanne Martin (”Frasier,” “Hot Properties”) is writing the script, and Timothy Busfield (”Studio 60,” “Lipstick Jungle”) will direct. “Maneater” will premiere later this year.
In the days immediately after the Gulf War, a group of American soldiers: Archie Gates (George Clooney), Troy Barlow (Mark Wahlberg), Chief Elgin (Ice Cube) and Conrad Vig (Spike Jonze), come across a secret Iraqi map, which discloses the whereabouts of a bunker where Iraq is storing stolen gold and treasure from Kuwait.
The soldiers hope to take the gold and keep it for themselves. However, when they arrive at the site, they discover that the Iraqi army is more concerned about persecuting its civilians than stopping them from stealing the gold. They learn that the civilians have been encouraged by the U.S. government to rise up and fight Sadaam Hussein, but are facing certain execution because the U.S. military refuses to help them. This incident creates a crisis of conscience for the American soldiers.
Do they take the money and run, leaving the civilians to face certain death at the hands of the Iraqi army? Or do they risk losing the gold in order to escort them to safety across the border into Iran?

A deadly sweet birthday prank leads to cover-up by makeover in this edgy and unpredictable comedy, starring Rose McGowan, Rebecca Gayheart, Julie Benz, Judy Greer, Chad Christ and Ethan Erickson, also starring Carol Kane and Pam Grier.
There’s a wicked clique in Reagan High School, Los Angeles. Cursed with beauty, dark wit and cold charisma, the girls in the pack are making their way up the social ladder, leaving casualties in their path. An ordinary kidnapping prank leaves the future prom queen, Elizabeth Purr, dead (accidentally gagged with a jawbreaker), the responsibles: Liz’s bff’s Courtney (McGowan), the cold hearted leader; Marcie (Benz), the adoring best friend; and Julie (Gayheart), the sensible and kind one. Courtney insists on covering up the murder, making it look as if Liz had died at the hands of a rapist.
Stumbling upon the dark plot is school outcast Fern (Greer) who was enamored of Liz and secretly longed to be just like her. To buy Fern’s silence, Courtney accepts Fern into the clique, transforming her into beautiful exchange student “Vylette.”
Disgusted and horrified with her friends’ actions, Julie, the only one with remorse, leaves the group, only to be targeted by her former friends. Julie watches in mute horror as Courtney spins a web of lies, betrayal and manipulation to cover up the murder and to ensure her popularity. But there will be no mercy as prom night arrives, bringing this spirited tale to its cruel tiara-dropping conclusion.
